About The United States of ALEC

TheUnitedStatesofALEC.org website is a project of Common Cause. Our goal is to
  • raise awareness about the extreme profit-driven agenda of the American Legislative Exchange Council
  • build a grassroots movement to compel ALEC's corporate members to end their association with the group
  • expose the lawmakers who are doing ALEC's dirty work in state houses and hold them accountable to voters
  • get corporations out of our political process and out of the business of legislating
